AUDITIONS
Admission to SF Ballet School’s Summer Session is by audition only or by invitation from the artistic staff. Students will audition in a group based on age, and then accepted students will be placed in either Session 1 or 2 based on their technical ability.
SF Ballet School will require advance registration of participants at all audition sites.
AUDITION AGE REQUIREMENTS
Students should audition with the age group based on their age as of July 1, 2025.
SESSION 1 (June 9 – July 3) – is for students who are 12–15 during summer
SESSION 2 (July 8 – August 2) – is for students who are ages 15–18 during summer
REQUIRED ITEMS TO AUDITION
When submitting your audition registration, please be prepared to submit the following items.
- Photo: Please submit a current ballet headshot or portrait-style photo that clearly shows the student from the shoulders up.
- Proof of Age: All students must provide a document proving their age and date of birth. This should be a government-issued document: birth certificate, passport photo page, or identification card.
- Audition Fee: $50 for the live audition or $75 to submit a recorded video audition.
NATIONAL AUDITION TOUR
RECORDED VIDEO AUDITIONS
Students who are unable to participate in a live audition may submit a pre-recorded video audition online via Slideroom. Please do not mail or email video auditions.
