San Francisco Ballet Kicks Off 24/25 Season with Opening Night Gala, Featuring Honorary Chair Ayesha Curry

Featuring selections from the 24/25 Season including
Artistic Director Tamara Rojo’s Raymonda and Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon

After Party and performance-only tickets are on sale today

(SAN FRANCISCO) November 19, 2024—San Francisco Ballet (SF Ballet) and Artistic Director Tamara Rojo will present the 24/25 Season Opening Night Gala on Wednesday, January 22, featuring a celebratory dinner and performance that draw from the season’s themes of provocative, passionate, and dramatic love. With Honorary Gala Chair Ayesha Curry, businesswoman, founder of Sweet July and co-founder of Eat. Learn. Play. and Gala Chair Pam Preston, the Gala begins with a red carpet reception and black-tie fundraising dinner at San Francisco City Hall. The evening’s highly anticipated performance begins at 8 pm and will feature works from this season’s repertory including Rojo’s Raymonda, Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, and additional selections that exemplify the Company’s stylistic versatility and diversity.

The After Party returns to San Francisco City Hall with live music and dancing, an open bar, and specialty cocktails. San Francisco City Hall will be transformed with romantic black and gold tones and lush floral arrangements, creating an atmosphere that evokes a night filled with decadent romance.

Proceeds from the Gala benefit a wide range of SF Ballet artistic initiatives, including new work development, scholarships for SF Ballet School students, and community education programs for thousands of youths, families, and seniors. The 24/25 Opening Night Gala Presenting Sponsor is Osterweis Capital Management.

OPENING NIGHT GALA DINNER
Hosted in partnership with the SF Ballet Auxiliary, Gala Chair Pam Preston, Dinner Chair Terra Sollman, and Décor Chair Elizabeth Mitchell, the evening begins with a red carpet reception in the Polk Street lobby of City Hall. The Honorary Chair is Ayesha Curry. Dinner begins at 6 pm. Tickets: $2,000-10,000.

YOUNG PATRONS CIRCLE (YPC) DINNER
The YPC dinner begins at 5:45 pm with a red carpet reception in the Van Ness lobby of City Hall, followed by a cocktail buffet in the South Light Court at 6 pm. YPC is a social and philanthropic group of 150+ young professionals. Tickets: $499 – $1,200.

Performance-only tickets are available via the Ticket Services Office at 415-865-2000, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm or at www.sfballet.org/gala-performance. General Admission After Party tickets may be purchased as an add-on to the performance ticket.
