SAN FRANCISCO BALLET ANNOUNCES DETAILS FOR STARRY NIGHTS AT FROST AMPHITHEATER, JULY 26 and 27

Tickets will go on sale on April 26 at 12pm PDT via Stanford Live 

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) April 19, 2024—Today, San Francisco Ballet (SF Ballet) announces the dates and programming for the company’s fourth annual Starry Nights performances, presented in collaboration with the Stanford Live Arts Festival at Frost Amphitheater on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 7:30pm.  

Starry Nights will feature Act II of Helgi Tomasson’s Swan Lake, a breathtaking ballet that continues to captivate audiences with its poignant narrative and stunning choreography. Audiences will also be treated to the SF Ballet premiere of Ben Stevenson OBE’s Three Preludes, and three mesmerizing ballets by the renowned choreographer Hans van Manen: Variations for Two Couples, Solo, and the SF Ballet premiere of 5 Tango’s. These meticulously crafted works, each brimming with emotion and artistry, serve as a testament to van Manen’s profound impact on the world of dance. Starry Nights includes two intermissions.  

Starry Nights promises to be a celebration of artistic excellence, showcasing the incredible talent of SF Ballet’s dancers and the visionary choreography that defines the company’s repertoire.

Tickets for all performances will be available through Stanford Live. Tickets will be available for purchase at live.stanford.edu up until 30 minutes past showtime.  

Presale access for the Stanford Live Arts Festival will be available to select Stanford Live and partner organization members beginning on Monday, April 22 followed by a public on sale beginning Friday, April 26, 12:00PM. Reserved chair seating is available in the Lower Bowl section with General Admission section on the Lawn. VIP tables are available and include table seating for four people, food and beverage table service, priority entry, and a special VIP-only menu of snacks, bites, and premium beverages.
