Linli Wang

Biography

Linli Wang is a Chinese-born American pianist and educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. Linli has been a pianist at the San Francisco Ballet School since 2017. She also serves as a faculty member at the Crowden Music Center and Pleasanton Academy of Music, as well as being the music director at the Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church.

As a pianist, Linli has extensive experience in collaborating with fellow musicians and artists, and enjoys learning a wide variety of repertoire. Prior engagements include serving as a ballet pianist at the San Francisco Opera, Berkeley Ballet Theater, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet, as well as staff accompanist at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Stockton Chorale, and University of the Pacific.

As an educator, Linli enjoys working with students and community members from all walks of life. From teaching private lessons to organizing/directing music camps, Linli has extensive teaching experiences in a variety of environments. She has also directed music programs at senior living facilities for independent-living residents and memory-care residents, and continues to perform music with her husband publicly, and at senior residences from time to time. Whether at age 6 or 60, Linli enjoys meeting people where they are at all stages of their musical lives.
