DANCE PROGRAMS FOR ALL
At San Francisco Ballet we’re passionate about sharing our love of ballet with our neighbors in the San Francisco Bay Area community. We’re here to spark creativity and inspire imagination in our youth and family programs, community partnerships, and work with the special needs community.
Family Workshops
Family Dance-Along Workshops provide an opportunity for parents and their kids to bond at the barre.
Sensory Friendly Programs
SF Ballet offers Sensory Friendly Dance-Along workshops and Sensory Friendly Performances so that everyone has access to the joy of ballet.
Community Dance Programs
Our community programs get children up and moving through such collaborations as with Boys & Girls Clubs of SF and Stern Grove.

when you bring children to the ballet.
take a break in the Family Viewing Area
Take a Break During the Performance in the Family Viewing Area
SF Ballet provides a special place for a pause from the show inside the Opera House during Nutcracker and all performances throughout the Season. Visit the north Dress Circle (3rd level) to find this child-friendly area. Whether your child needs a break during a performance, you cannot return to your seat due to needing to use the restroom during the performance, or you arrive late to the Ballet, the Family Viewing Area provides a tv monitor to watch the stage and self-serve activities for children. From children’s books to writing letters to the dancers, the Family Viewing Area will entertain children until they’re ready to get back to the show.
